You’re Allowed to Outgrow Things

You’re allowed to outgrow things.

Even the things you once prayed for. Even the dreams that kept you up at night. Even the friendships you thought would last forever.

It can be a strange feeling, realizing that something no longer fitslike wearing a favorite sweater that just doesn’t feel right anymore. We cling to things because they’re familiar. They remind us of who we used to be, or what we used to need. But just like we outgrow shoes and old songs, we also outgrow mindsets, relationships, jobs, habits… versions of ourselves.

That’s not failure. That’s growth.

There’s no shame in changing your mind. No guilt in walking away from what used to feel like home if it no longer brings you peace. Letting go is a form of self-respect. It’s you listening to your current self, not your past self.

Outgrowing doesn’t mean forgetting.
It means honouring the role something played in your journey, and still choosing to move ahead.

It’s okay if you don’t have a new plan yet.
It’s okay if the next step feels uncertain.
Growth often feels uncomfortable but so does staying stuck.

So if something has been weighing on your heart lately…
If you’ve been questioning a routine, a connection, a commitment, give yourself permission to ask: Is this still right for me?

And if the answer is no, you’re not wrong. You’re evolving.

Trust your inner knowing.
You’re not being selfish.
You’re being honest.

And that honesty will always guide you home.
